The new SBIR solicitations from Dept of Defense are out and there is a huge demand for those skills. Rick and I were trying to think of companies in Idaho that might be interested and came up blank.

I love gotcha headlines! So Eddie isn't coming back to Boise or anything, but he did e-mail me the other day with a link to the OSCON Convention which apparently no one in Boise attended. Pronetos attended last year, but when I solicited tweets or blog feeds I got crickets. SO Eddie bails us out with video presentations of the whole conference, apparently.

Calling all young Entrepreneurs

This just in from IDOC's Julie Howard:

We would like to pitch entrepreneurs (under 30) as sources for Global Entrepreneurship Week, Nov. 17 - 23, which is sponsored in the U.S. by the Kauffman Foundation and Make your Mark in the U.K. Nearly 65 countries will participate in the Week through a series of local, open-source events to encourage young people to become more innovative and entrepreneurial.

The entrepreneurs can help promote the Week by telling their entrepreneurship stories. We aren't looking for them to be spokespersons for the Week, per se.

The next TechBoise is scheduled for Wednesday August 27th at 5:30pm at the WaterCooler.

That's next Wednesday and the WaterCooler is located at 14th and Idaho.

I tried having a theme again but it didn't pan out. So instead we'll be going for an eclectic mix of tech companies. And I guarantee it will be very eclectic.

You don't want to miss this one. More details later this week.
