Be a part of the solution

Idaho has reached a record number of unemployed. And it's only going to get worse. We need more jobs, now, and there is no immediate fix.

Every single day I have multiple people ask me if I know of any jobs. I hear about some here and there, but they're getting fewer and further between. And it's only going to get worse.

Let me ask you a  few questions to help you find a job.

What is the ideal kind of company you would like to work for?

Startups Beget Startups

When I heard that Proclarity was being acquired by Microsfot 2 years ago I was really excited. Partly because it was a great company and a great group of guys that deserved the the recognition and reward that comes with an acquisition.

The main reason that I was excited about the acquisition was that startups beget more startups.

Starting and building a high growth company over several years is exhausting. It's mentally, physically, emotionally and financially exhausting. It's the entrepreneurial equivalent of trying to sprint a marathon.

Holiday Event/Toy Drive Reminder

I wanted to remind everyone that the TechBoise Holiday Event

The Power of Community. Get Involved.

It was about a year ago that many of you talked me into holding the TechBoise events. I first resisted because I hate event planning (I'm just not that organized). When we first started holding them we did it every other month and there was no reason to when we would hold them. I usually just scheduled one about the time people started asking when the next one would be.  After a while, as the events started to grow it became apparent that we would need to move to a set monthly schedule.

How Legislative Leaders Could REALLY Help ESTech

We should all be grateful that a group of smart and talented citizens has emerged and is attempting to create ESTech - the Eagle Star Technology Corridor. This is a welcome addition to the economic development efforts in the Treasure Valley. ESTech has attracted the attention of legislators such as Mike Moyle and Raul Labrador who are doing what they can to aid the effort.
