Dog Days of Summer Got Us - NO TechBoise Event in August

TechBoise is suddenly wondering where the Summer went. The Fair starts this weekend and kids are going back to school. Worse yet, the 100 degree days came back. Ick!

In protest of triple digit temperatures and on behalf of students everywhere going back to school, TechBoise is canceling the August monthly event. (TechBoise still supports students and education and schools. Please no letters.)

We know, you've been holding your breath to see what we had in store for you this time. Sorry, we are just going to keep it a surprise a little longer.

Geek Guide to Boise?

Seattle has done it again. Just when you think there is not another cool way to celebrate and embrace all things geek, Seattle comes out and announces the creation of The Geek's Guide to Seattle.

Its brilliant! Geeks are people too - they realized that there is more to be seen in the Emerald City than the Space Needle and Pike Place Market. There's a whole lot of technology stuff there - and they're celebrating it.

Did you Jelly Boise?

TechBoise must apologize to the universe for suggesting a start date of 8:00 am for the first ever Jelly Boise. What were we thinking?

First, we made you have to set an ALARM (maybe).
Second, we made you get dressed and ready for the day at an ungodly hour.
Third, we put you in the commute of daily traffic.

OOPS!

In spite of our faux pas, we had a blast at the first Jelly Boise. At last count, 14 people joined us for part of the Boise Jelly experiment (which TechBoise declared a raving success).

Startup Weekend Coming to Boise in November

What would you do with 54 hours? TechBoise hopes that you sign up to be extra productive with those hours and join us at Startup Weekend Boise November 13 - 15 at the WaterCooler.

In addition to some really cool people and great networking, as an attendee of Startup Weekend Boise, you get to be part of a team that finds an idea on Friday night and by the time Sunday night rolls around - be ready to launch a company.

Inovus Solar to Light Up Boise GreenTech Corridor

Inovus Solar’s flagship SmartPole product line offers solar-powered utility lighting systems that can connect to the electric power grid or operate independently.

What exactly are you waiting for?

There will be other investors (VCs, angels and influential entrepreneurs) in attendance too - but come on - its Sir Richard Branson.

Jelly Boise is Here

Finally! A chance to escape the cubicle, your home office or garage. Maybe you are looking for a change of scenery and want to hang out with the cool kids?

Come on down to the WaterCooler Thursday, August 20th from 8 - 12 for the first (of many) Jelly Boise events.
