Ben Quintana named BVEP’s Poster Boy

A big congratulations to Ben Quintana for his new position with BVEP. An IBR Staffer wrote:

BVEP executive director Paul Hiller said, “By adding Quintana to our direct selling efforts, it significantly expands our ability to showcase what our region has to offer. I have been continually impressed with his work at the chamber, and I know he will bring the same professionalism, enthusiasm, and high standards to our work in BVEP.”

I don’t know anyone who has anything bad to say about Ben and my own interactions with Ben lead me to believe that he will be a positive influence on BVEP.

I still remember when BVEP first got off the ground, Ben and I had a candid discussion about my skepticism that BVEP would actually be successful in getting a company to relocate to Boise that would bring high paying jobs (not call center wages).

I truly hope Ben can prove me wrong, and if anyone will, it’s Ben.

I think with Ben’s solid connections to the local small business and tech communities he will be a valuable asset to BVEP above and beyond his role in working with site consultants. I hope that BVEP will be smart enough to realize that and draw on their new asset.

I’m on board with hoping Ben can prove you wrong Tac! ; -) Beyond the site consultant outreach, Ben’s connection to the small and growing business assets already here will be invaluable to BVEP
