Blogrolls and Coming Changes
A couple of housekeeping items:
* The Idaho Statesman shares some link love with TechBoise
* The site is moving - servers and platforms not URL
* A call for contributors
I noticed that the Idaho Statesman actually links to other Idaho blogs in a blogroll they have on their blog page (including this one). They don’t even use ‘no follow’ tags (sorry that’s an SEO geek thing). That’s more than most journalism sites will do. I did notice that they (understandably) don’t list any of their competitors.
While we’re on the topic of blogrolls, please look at ours (lower right) and let me know if I’m missing any that should be there?
We will be migrating to new servers soon (hopefully this week) which should speed up the load times on the site significantly. We will also be migrating off of WordPress with Rich’s help and onto Drupal so that we can incorporate some better functionality like forums, wiki’s and *maybe* individual blogs for those looking for a soap box (we’ll see).
I am also putting out an open call for authors. If you would like to be a regular contributor to the site, please email me (tac@techboise.com). What I am looking for is people who are already attending local tech events or are meeting with local tech leaders and can report back here.
Look for changes here and be patient in the event that some unexpected side affects arise from our transitions.
