A bittersweet decision : Alimadzi
Patrick Lee, One of the main driving forces behind the Statesman's blogging/commenting capabilities and their presence on Twitter is leaving the Statesman (voluntarily) to accept a better offer from BodyBuilding.com I know I will miss Pat's help there. Best of luck.

Patrick, You will be missed.
Patrick,
You will be missed. I'm glad you'll still be helping out. I also agree that the Statesman isn't perfect (who/what is?) but they are vitally important to the local community.
Thanks for the mention, Tac.
Thanks for the mention, Tac. I will miss the Statesman also, but I should mention a couple things. First, the Statesman plans to fill my position and we already have several qualified candidates. Second, I'll be contracting for the Statesman for as long as it takes to ensure a smooth transition.
The Statesman isn't perfect, but I believe that it fills a vital role in this community and I plan to do whatever I can to help it continue its mission.
