Gallatin Public Affairs Hosts Their First Annual Tech Summit
I was invited to an event that Gallatin Public Affairs is hosting (see details below). I was already bummed I am going to be Boston during the event (I’m a sucker for a free lunch), then Brad Wiskirchen, CEO of Keynetics, sent the following recommendation and now I’m doubly dissapointed:
I have met with the speakers and can tell you that they alerted me to all kinds of business opportunities in the technology sector that I would (and I hate to admit this) never have considered. So I plan on attending.
This is an invite only event but Gallatin has given me permission to post this here. If you’re interested in attending I suggest contacting Mckinsey Miller ASAP and seeing if they have any space available.
Sydney Sallabanks has also agreed to do a guest post after the event for us.
Gallatin Public Affairs is pleased to announce our FIRST ANNUAL TECHNOLOGY SUMMIT.
Today’s tightening financial markets and weakening economy force businesses to seek alternative revenue streams. Learn how you can secure federal government funding as a on‐equity source of capital to finance research and development and non‐recurring engineering costs.
Featured Panelists Dennis M. Kedzior, served 25 years as a staff member of the U.S. House Appropriations Committee Wendy Jordan, former Secretary of the Navy’s Senior Advisor for Long Range Planning Local Industry Business Leaders, highlighting case studies

Didn’t see any comments in the wake of GPA’s meet last Wednesday.
I wouldn’t have labeled it as a “technology summit” but there was useful info there for those listening closely. They also had a nice binder with intel on government contracting** (esecially with DoD). The company was delightful too - always nice to meet new folks.
I blogged it (http://entrepreneurshipidaho.blogspot.com )if you want more details.
Good news on Ugobe too, eh?
** if you want to see the binder, let me know.
