Goodbye Eddie Kovsky
I received an email this weekend that saddened me.
After nearly two years with the Idaho Business Review, I’ve decided to resign my position and move on to new challenges. There were a lot of factors that went into this decision; no single event has led up to this point.
I’ll still be with the IBR for two more weeks, and around Boise until the end of the month.
It’s been a pleasure getting to know all of you during my time here, and I do hope we can stay in touch. I’ll still keep up with my Linkedin profile..
This is not just a loss for the IBR but for Boise as well.
Eddie was, in my opinion, one of the few local reporters that ‘got it’. A fellow tech evangelist, Eddie regularly covered the local tech scene. He was a regular attendee of our TechBoise events, Kickstand and just about anything.
When John Foster left IBR last year Eddie kept the blog going. As his responsibilities took him away from the blog and others began running it, I stopped reading the blog. Eddie’s were the only news articles I read in the paper and I wonder if there will be any reason for me to keep following.
I wish Eddie the best of luck as he heads back to Colorado and want to leave an open invitation to him that he’ll always be welcome in Boise.
You’ll be missed.
Couldn’t agree more, Tac. I still miss working with Eddie, and am sad to see him leave Boise.
Yep you will be missed Eddie. Or maybe you want Ken Dey’s job?
Like I said on Ken’s story - April 14 2008 was not the best birthday I’ve ever had…
but you will do well!
