I hate politics

Maybe it’s because I grew up the son of a lobbyist, but I really hate politics.

I haven’t weighed in on the disbanding of the Governors council because I don’t really know what to say. The Governor doesn’t get tech, that’s obvious. James Ellick doesn’t seem to be doing anything. Personally I wash my hands at all of them.

Like I said in my last post I’m going to attempt to focus on the positive aspects of our local tech scene: the people, and leave Micron and the Governor to Ken Dey.

I don’t want you to think that I’m burying my head in the sand. I’m just tired of sounding like a broken record. There are plenty of people to talk about all the bad stuff that’s going on. There are plenty of people that will tell you what we should be doing that we’re not. I don’t hear many people talking about the great stuff that is going on. The stuff that most people don’t hear about.

I’ve got a few emails from people that I will be responding to but please send me an email if you have some news about what’s going on in the local tech scene.

Hey, Tac - this IS one huge piece. Simply knowing who’s out there & what they’re doing is tough.

Case in point: I was at a Kickstand committee meeting sitting next to a certain Ms. Regner from Eagle - whose firm had a role in Pleo. I’ve seen her at Kickstand a lot and……… had no idea. (Guess I should ask? LOL)

I keep meeting amazing cats (not just in the TV) and I will send their info along to you.
