I’m sure Don and Clement will get along great.
I missed this announcement somehow:
C. L. “Butch” Otter - The State of Idaho News Release Don Dietrich Named Commerce Director
Dietrich, who had been administrator of the Department of Commerce’s Economic Development Division, has a bachelor’s degree in agriculture and a master’s degree in business administration. He previously was director of international business development for Aspen Technology in Boston, assistant vice president and general manager of U.S. petroleum trading and distribution for Cargill Inc., and Cargill’s export manager for U.S. wheat and soybeans.
I’m still waiting for someone who knows what really happened to Jim to spill the beans.
I think Don is going to surprise some folks. He is a knowledgable and surprisingly innovative. Give him a chance. Or better yet - invite him for coffee.
Brice,
I mean no disrespect to Don. I’m sure he’s a very smart and talented person who’ll do a great job for the state.
The sarcasm in my tone is more from frustration at Clement’s lack of communication with the tech community.
And possibly pointing out his obvious bias towards ag.
