IQ Idaho changes tactics again

I heard rumors that IQ Idaho was closing up shop so I emailed Jeff Boyle to see what I could find out.

TB: I hear that IQ Idaho is no more.

JB: Not gone, restructured. It has always worked for any product that allowed us to use their budget. It has been highly effective for some of my other companies. We will continue it, but it will now go out nationally to selected markets of high end entrepreneurs once a quarter. Jus international will be paying for a lot of advertising in it for the next year and will allow us to focus more on content and editorial.

TB: But as IQ Idaho? or some other name?

JB: It will be called IQ.

So the end result is that IQ Idaho as we know it will no longer exist. Anyone who has been in the valley for a while and is familiar with IQ Idaho, knows that it has gone through multiple changes over its life.

While I know some people had mixed opinions of IQ Idaho (Jeff was never afraid of being polarizing) I know that Jeff was an avid supporter of tech and entrepreneurs and I’ll miss the tech coverage he did supply.

On a positive note I believe he was able to avoid layoffs by transitioning people to his new company, which is more than can be said for other local companies.

I wish Jeff success in his new startup Jus International.
