Mercaldo sells stake in Gold Link Media to start Mesch Media
Many of you may remember Ken Dey’s article about Gold Link Media that ran just 7 short weeks ago. Some may find it weird that since that time Josh Mercaldo has sold his stake in the company and has now started his own media consultancy, Mesh Media. In that interview Josh said:
I’m not working toward big payoff or whatever. The growth of the company will come naturally, and in next six months to the next year we’ll ramp up the facility and grow the number of employees by expanding our service offering into Pacific Northwest. Ultimately we’ll just keep looking at what’s around the corner to see what’s there.
Some (the entrepreneurs) probably wouldn’t really find it that weird. For an entrepreneur, like Josh, 7 weeks can be a pretty long time.
It’s only recently that I’ve got a chance to know Josh, but I’ve been really impressed with him. Everyone who I know that knows Josh always speaks highly of him.
When I spoke with Josh about this I got the impression that Josh just felt it was a good time to leave and really wanted to get back to his marketing roots and start doing client work beyond CD’s and DVD’s.
I’m sure Josh will do great and wish him the best of luck.
