Recycling Your Surplus Tech

Holli previously mentioned that TechBoise is going to "go back to its roots."

While brainstorming how we could accomplish that, someone came up with the idea of having a "Surplus" table in the back of the room at the next TechBoise meeting.

Concept: Bring your unwanted/unneeded technology, computer parts, software, business books, etc., and donate them to the Surplus table. If you see something on the Surplus table you could really use...take it. Geeks helping geeks.

David at The Reuseum even said he'd help us deal with the leftovers (if unclaimed).

Thoughts? Do it? Lame? Let us know. If enough of you like the concept....we'll set it up.

yes

sounds like a good idea. As long as holli doesn't donate that iMac. Remember Holli you bequeathed that to me. Unless of course you got tired of waiting for me to pick it up, and just dropped it off at the Reuseum, in which case my robot will totally kick Dave's robot's butt.

Grape iMac

As agreed to before, the Grape iMac has now become part of the prize package for the Boise Bot Competition (along with a theramin, from what I hear). Better make that Bot kick Butt, T.J.!

RE: yes

I believe it's still yours. But you probably better hurry.

Speaking of robots, TechBoise is working out the details to join in on the Reuseum bot war in September. Stay tuned....

Surplus

Don't forget your old cell phones. I E-Recycle at my store. Cell phones are a big part of my business. I have a good working laser printer I will donate to "Surplus" table.
