Unless someone or some group can gin up some serious ‘discontent’…say vis-a-vis a more aggressive media regime (i.e. McClatchy sells the Statesman or a TV station gets pissed), I see the passion & fervor continuing to slow drain away.

Idaho is already apathetic enough; maybe people are simply content to live in obedient poverty? Without this kind of ‘fire in the belly’ desire to really transform the environment into a fertile garden, the key talent will simply leave with the rest of the big companies.

And if no one calls bullshit on it—there’s your answer.

It is an up hill battle Bill. And it’s a hard one. The handfull of Don Quixote’s we have in the valley can’t wage a 24/7 battle by themselves.
The best we can do is keep chasing windmills and hope that enough people wake up before it’s too late.
