TechLaunch 4.0 musings
As a first time contributor, let me first offer props to Tac for getting TechBoise off the ground. It’s a tremendous contribution and long overdue for the Boise tech community to have a collaborative platform.
For those of you who didn’t make it to yesterday’s TechLaunch 4.0, you missed one of the best tech events I’ve seen in Boise since I moved here in 2000. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the seven presenting companies all had compelling value propositions and delivered clear and concise presentations. It’s obvious to me that the folks at TechLaunch are offering these start-up companies some valuable coaching and getting them ready for the rigors of fundraising.
With the layoffs at Micron serving as a backdrop, it was invigorating to see some new Idaho start-ups with innovative ideas. I encourage readers to get out and support initiatives like TechLaunch. Thanks to INL, the Office of Science and Technology, and the other sponsors for their support of these events.
Keep on truckin’ Boise, good things happening…
Mark, I agree. In its 4th year, this year’s TechLaunch had one of the best competitive fields yet. We had some great panelists and terrific judges that provided constructive and positive feedback.
They all helped make the event a success.
